DraftKings NBA Playoffs

Top NBA Prop Picks for Friday, April 15 (2022)

You either love the play-in tournament-style or hate it. Despite your thoughts about it, we’ve got two exciting games with four teams playing for two spots. Those two spots are the eight-seeds, meaning the winners of tonight’s two games will get the opportunity to play the one-seed in the NBA Playoffs.

To help you prepare for the games tonight, I’ve put together my favorite prop picks for tonight’s games. Follow along below!

DraftKings NBA Playoffs

(Odds courtesy FanDuel)

Hawks vs. Cavaliers: De’Andre Hunter 14.5 Points

De’Andre Hunter wasn’t playing around in the second half of the first Play-In game between the Hawks and the Hornets. Hunter scored 22 points in 30 minutes for the Hawks last time out and nailed 9-of-16 from the field for 22 points. He also went 2-for-3 from downtown and didn’t force anything.

Hunter is a guy that is either hot or cold. But right now, when it matters the most, Hunter is hot. In the final game of the regular season, before taking on the Hornets, Hunter scored 22 points and went 4-for-4 from downtown against the Rockets.

He’s really only good for points and isn’t an asset on the glass or when it comes to assists. So stick with his points prop and don’t get any fancier with it.

Bet: De’Andre Hunter Over 14.5 Points (-102 at FanDuel)

Hawks vs. Cavaliers: Darius Garland 2.5 Three-pointers

Darius Garland was one of the only bright spots for the Cavaliers in their loss against the Brooklyn Nets. Garland scored 34 points on 13-of-24 from the field and nailed 3-of-6 from downtown. In April, Garland is averaging 3.2 three-pointers per game and is attempted over six threes per game while shooting above 50%.

His three-point makes are increasing from March and he’s attempting the same amount of threes as last month as well. Garland is just in a groove right now shooting the basketball. The Cavaliers will need all the help they can get offensively as they try to stick around with the Hawks to become an eight-seed. If the Cavaliers are going to pull off the upset, it’s going to be Garland doing the scoring.

Bet: Darius Garland Over 2.5 Three-pointers (-136 at FanDuel)

Pelicans vs. Clippers: C.J. McCollum 25.5 Points

Usually, teams in the bottom half of the league don’t have players that have been to the playoffs as many times as C.J. McCollum. McCollum is a veteran that played in big playoff series’ previously and he’s already stepping up big-time after defeating the Spurs 113-103 in the first Play-In game.

McCollum went 12-for-23 from the field and scored 32 points while also assisting on seven makes. McCollum loves the spotlight and he’s still one of the better scorers in the league. He’s absolutely the best player on the court and he’s ready to show that tonight to put New Orleans into the playoffs as an eight-seed.

Bet: C.J. McCollum Over 25.5 Points (-106 at DraftKings)
