Top MLB Parlay Odds & Picks for Monday, April 11th (2022)

It was an exciting first weekend of baseball, and it will continue as we have a heavy slate going on a Monday. We have some new series to look at, but also a couple that are actually wrapping up today. We also have a home underdog to talk about and how they have all the advantages to grab a win today.

Boston Red Sox vs. Detroit Tigers (First Pitch 5:10 p.m. ET)

The Red Sox lost two of three games in the Bronx and need to get back on track as they begin the season on a long road trip. Besides Xander Bogaerts and Alex Verdugo, the bats were cold, and the starting pitching gave up ten runs in 14 innings during the series.

Michael Wacha’s debut for Boston will be his third team in three years, and he has not been right since leaving the Cardinals. In the last two seasons with the Mets and Rays, he went 4-9 with a 5.39 ERA, and that number is even higher in road starts at 5.61.

The Tigers were also only able to take one game in their opening series against the White Sox, and with the improvements they’ve made,it’s an underwhelming start. Just like the Red Sox, the Tigers struggled to hit in the first three games, but on a positive note, new additions Javier Baez and Austin Meadows have started hot.

Detroit will go with Matt Manning, who will begin his sophomore campaign. Last year on the days when his curveball was working, he was unhittable, but failing to pitch consistently well led to a not so spectacular rookie season. He’ll benefit from facing a Red Sox lineup that has no experience against him.

This will also be a quick turnaround for the Red Sox, who played the Sunday night game that ended at nearly 11 p.m. ET. Fade the Red Sox in this series opener.

Leg 1: Tigers ML

Cleveland Guardians (-1.5) vs. Kansas City Royals O/U 8.5 (First Pitch 2:10 p.m. ET)

After the Cleveland bats were silent the first two games they came alive. Eight of the nine in the starting lineup got a hit, including Steven Kwan with five and Amed Rosario with four.

The Guardians will have Aaron Civiale on the mound coming off a solid 2021 season at 12-5 with a 3.84 ERA. Unfortunately, his track record against the Royals is not good as the team is hitting .273 with a .515 slugging percentage against him. Cleveland will need another offensive onslaught to support Civale.

The Royals will need to put the offense on themselves as Carlos Hernandez struggled in spring training. Hernandez allowed 12 earned runs and five home runs in 7 1/3 during the spring, and it could spell trouble against a Guardians lineup that just found their bats.

While the first game went way below the under, yesterday the over smashed by a mile. There’s plenty of evidence showing that these lineups will have a good day against these starting pitchers. We should see both teams going to the bullpen early.

Leg 2: Over 8.5 (-115)

Anthony Rendon Over 0.5 Hits vs.  Miami Marlins (First Pitch: 10:38 p.m. ET)

Rendon has not started the season off strong going just 1-for-9 and three strikeouts. Today would be the best chance for him to get it started as he faces Elieser Hernandez, who he’s familiar with from his days in Washington. Rendon comes into this game with six hits in ten at-bats against Hernandez, including two home runs. Lock him in for at least one hit in this game.

Leg 3: Anthony Redon over 0.5 hits (-200)
