The Cardinals’ first baseman opened with the 20th best odds to win the award but after a strong start, he has now moved up to third in the latest betting boards as the best MLB betting sites.

Goldschmidt opened with a +3000 odds to win NL MVP honors at Bet365 USA. Those odds are now down to +900 on the latest betting boards at that online sportsbook. Only Manny Machado at +250 and Mookie Betts at +275 have shorter odds than Goldschmidt to win the award.
The 34-year is also listed at a shorter +700 odds at BetMGM and Borgata Online with Machado at +300 and Betts at +350. Goldschmidt is also at +700 via PointsBet USA with Betts at +350 and Machado at +375. He is at a shorter +550 odds via Unibet while Machado is at +255 and Betts at +275.
The FD sportsbook has Betts favored at +320 with Machado as the second favorite at +440 odds and Goldschmidt very close at +480 Goldschmidt’s shortest odds are at Caesars Sportsbook where he is listed at +450, just short of Machado’s +400, and nearing Betts’ +275 odds.

Goldschmidt was named NL Player of the Month for May 2022, his second with the Cardinals and third of his career. The six-time All-Star leads the National League with his .348 batting average. His 47 RBIs are also tied with Pete Alonso for the lead in the NL. Since May 11th, Goldschmidt has 10 homers and 36 RBIs in a stretch that has lasted 22 games. He ended the month with a .404 batting average for May 2022, becoming the first Cardinals player since Stan Musial in September 1953 with a .400 BA and 10 HR during a calendar month.
Shortly after receiving the award on Friday, Goldschmidt homered against the Cubs to extend his hitting streak to 25 games, the longest current streak in the majors and one shy of Goldschmidt’s career-best 26-games hitting streak with Arizona in 2013. It also extended his personal best by reaching base in his 39th consecutive game.
The Cardinals are 10-4 in their last 14 games played and are currently 30-22 on the season and only two games behind the Milwaukee Brewers in the NL Central Division. St. Louis is also second behind the Brewers (-375) with their +220 odds to win their division and they also have the 7th best odds to win the National League pennant at +1200 odds.
