- Patrick Cantlay is the odds-on favorite to win the Rocket Mortgage Classic at +1000 odds.
- Last week’s 3M Open winner Tony Finau and Will Zalatoris have the second-best odds at +1600.
- Cam Young is the most popular bet with 13% of the tickets and 18% of the betting handle at +2500 odds.
Two weeks after registering his first Top 10 finish in a major since the 2019 PGA Championship, Patrick Cantlay heads to the Detroit Golf Club as the pre-tournament betting favorite to win the Rocket Mortgage Classic.
Cantlay finished T-8 at The Open marking his 6th Top 15 finish in his last seven starts. Because of that, the top golf sportsbooks believe he is heading to the RMC with serious momentum, even if he has never played in the event.

According to the online sportsbook BetMGM, Cantlay is the +1000 betting favorite to win the Rocket Mortgage Classic. Cantlay has not recorded an individual victory this year ( he won the Zurich team title with Xander Schauffele ), he has two runner-up finishes, A T3 at Memorial Lane, and 9 Top 10s. In his last two starts, the 2021 Player of the Year was a T4 at the Scottish Open and a T8 at The Open.
Meanwhile, Tony Finau opens as the second favorite at +1600 despite earning the third win of his career last week at TPC Twin Cities. Finau opened as the +1300 to win the 3M Open and was a +500 entering the final round but he rallied from a four-stroke deficit in the final eight holes to win the title and move from no. 30 to no. 17 in the latest FedExCup standings.
Also listed at +1600 is Will Zalatoris who is looking for his first win of the year. Zalatoris has lost in two playoffs already this season, one to Luke List at the Farmers Insurance Open and another to Justin Thomas at the PGA Championship. The Wake Forest product has 8 Top 10s this year and is 9th in the FedExCup standings. Zalatoris finished 77th in the 2021 Rocket Mortgage Classic.

Meanwhile, Cameron Young, who finished second behind Cam Smith at The Open after an eagle putt on the final hole, is next at +3500. Young is followed by Max Homa at +4000.
But while Cantlay is the oddsmakers’ favorite, bettors at BetMGM like second-place specialists Young and Zalatoris. Young is currently listed at +1800 odds at the said sportsbook and has 13% of the tickets and 18% of the betting handle, both the most for any golfer heading to the tournament.
