Maryna Moroz Submits Mariya Agapova

Moroz submitted Mariya Agapova via arm-triangle choke at UFC 272 last March 5, 2022, in a Performance of the Night-winning effort. The win settled the feud between the former American Top Team teammates. It was also Moroz’s third straight since suffering back-to-back losses to Carla Esparza and Angela Hill.

The 30-year-old from Ukraine began her career at Oplot Challenge and Kunlun Fight. She also appeared in the XCFI women’s strawweight tournament before she was signed by the UFC in 2015. Agapova opened her UFC career with a 3-3 record before her current winning run. She has a record of 11-3 with one knockout and six submission victories.

This will be the first time in four bouts where Moroz will have the minus money sign placed next to her name. The Ukrainian fighter was the betting underdog in her previous three bouts but won all of them, including as a +155 bottom dog against Agapova in her most recent bout.

Melissa Gatto Knocks Out Sijara Eubanks

Meanwhile, Eubanks suffered a knockout loss to Melissa Gatto at UFC Vegas 45 last December 18, 2021, in a catchweight bout because Eubanks missed weight. The setback was Eubanks’ third in her last four bouts after opening her UFC career with four wins in six bouts.

The 37-year-old from Springfield, Massachusetts was a competitor at The Ultimate Fighter 26 tournament where she lost to Nicco Montano in the Finale. Euabanks holds notable wins over Lauren Murphy, Roxanne Modafferi, Sarah Moras, and Julia Avila. She owns a record of 7-7 with three victories by way of knockout.

Eubanks was the betting favorite in five out of her last eight bouts but lost thrice with the minus money sign written next to her name, including at -333 against Bethe Correia at UFC Fight Night 159. But she’s also won as an underdog, as the case was when she beat Avila at +240 odds.
