NBA Playoffs Eastern Conference Over Under

Eastern Conference Unders Worth $1,681 Since Start of NBA Playoffs

NBA Playoffs Eastern Conference Over Under

  • The UNDER is 40-11 in the 51 Eastern Conference playoff games played so far.
  • A $100 bettor would be up +$1,621 right now if he wagered on the East UNDERs since the start of the playoffs
  • The Milwaukee Bucks had a 10-2 UNDER record before they were eliminated by the Boston Celtics.

The Eastern Conference Finals have been hard to pick with the momentum shifts we’ve seen in the first five games of the series. But if there’s a wager that’s close to being a sure bet in the East playoffs, it’s betting on the UNDER.

According to Barstool Sportsbook, the total has gone under in 30 out of the 41 Eastern Conference playoff games played so far. The under has been such a winner that a $100 bettor on the under since the start of the 2022 NBA playoffs is $1,621.00 right now.

$500,00 Win on the Game 4 Under

A Louisiana bettor at Caesars Sportsbook won $500,000 on a $550,000 bet on the UNDER 206 at -110 odds in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals. A bettor at the DK Sportsbook also won $200K betting on the UNDER in that same game. That game yielded a total of 184 with the Celtics winning 102-82.

After Game 4, the best NBA betting sites set the Game 5 total lower at 203.5 points. The teams did better as Boston defeated Miami 93-80 for a total of 173 points which is 30 below the posted total. That’s ridiculous. But then that’s excellent defense by the Celtics who have held the Heat to a total of 182 points in the last two games of the Eastern Conference Finals to take a 3-2 lead.

Interestingly, it’s not the Eastern Conference Finals that’s driven the East playoffs to the UNDER. That’s because Games 1 to 3 all hit the OVER, which means that the under is just 2-3 after five games in the Eastern Conference Finals.

Bucks Best UNDER Team in the Playoffs

The Milwaukee Bucks, whom the Celtics eliminated in the second round, are the top UNDER team in the playoffs with an UNDER record of 10-2 or 83.3%. Milwaukee’s five games series with the Chicago Bulls had five UNDERS while their seven-game series against the Celtics had an UNDER record of 5-2.

Miami is the next best UNDER team in the postseason at 11-5. The Heat’s first-round series against the Hawks went UNDER five times while their East semifinal series versus the Sixers had an UNDER record of 4-2. The Philadelphia 76ers also went 8-4 to the UNDER with their opening-round series against the Toronto Raptors also yielding an UNDER record of 4-2.

Looking at the playoff statistics, the Top 4 teams in scoring defense are from the East. Miami is on top of the list at 100.3 points per game allowed while the Celtics are second at 100.7 points per game conceded. Milwaukee is third at 101.3 PPG given up while Philadelphia is ranked 4th at 104.2 points per game allowed. Having seen all these, it’s no wonder that the UNDER is cashing in the East side of the NBA playoffs.
