Hadzovic snapped a two-fight losing streak by defeating Yancy Medeiros via unanimous decision at UFC Vegas 30 last June 26, 2021. Hadzovic fought the bout of his life by dominating Medieros in the first two rounds of the bout before nearly giving it away in the final seconds of the bout. Luckily, time ran out as Medeiros locked a rear-naked choke and Hadzovic escaped with the victory.
The 35-year-old Bosnian-Danish mixed martial artist began his pro MMA career at Fight Gala and Cage Fight Live before joining Cage Warriors and Venator FC. Hadzovic was signed by the UFC in 2016 but he dropped two out of his first three UFC assignments. He won his next two bouts but then lost two in a row versus Christos Giagos and Renato Moicano. Overall, Hadzovic has a record of 14-6 with seven knockouts and three submission victories.
Gadzovic was the betting underdog in three out of his four UFC losses. He was the +200 bottom dog when he fought Mairbek Taisumov at UFC Fight Night 86. Gadzovic also opened at +165 against Alan Patrick at UFC Fight Night 125. Two fights ago, Gadzovic opened at +230 odds against Moicano.

Like Hadzovic, Marc Diakiese snapped a two-fight losing streak by defeating Viacheslav Borschev via unanimous decision at UFC on ESPN 33 last March 26th. Prior to that win, Diakiese suffered a unanimous decision loss to Rafael Fiziev at UFC Fight Night 172 and was submitted by Rafael Alves at UFC Fight Night 197.
The 29-year-old Diakiese is a former lightweight champion at the MMA Combat and Cage Kumite promotions. Diakiese was also the former BAMMA Lonsdale British lightweight champion. He joined the UFC in 2016 and won his first three UFC assignments before going 3-5 in his last 8 bouts. Overall, Diakiee has a record of 15-5 with six knockouts and one submission victory.
Diakiese’s five UFC losses have come with the plus money sign written next to his name. He was the -320 favorite when he lost to Drakkar Klose in 2017 and opened at -230 against Dan Hooker at UFC 219. Diakiese even opened as the -220 odds on favorite when he fought Nasrat Haqparast at -175 odds at UFC Fight Night 134.
