Central Division Champions Since 2019
— Milwaukee Bucks (@Bucks) March 22, 2019
In 2019, the Bucks won the Central Division title for the first time since 2000-01. Since then, no team has been able to dethrone them as divisions champion. Last season, the Bucks won their 4th consecutive division title, finishing five games better than the Chicago Bulls in the team standings.
Milwaukee won the title in 2021 but was unable to repeat as champions last season. Despite that, the Bucks remain among the top title contenders heading to the upcoming season. At Bet365 USA, the Bucks have the third best odds to win the 2022 NBA title at +750 with only the Celtics (+550), Suns (+550), Warriors (+600), and Clippers (+600) having better odds than them.
The Miami Heat, who finished 11 games ahead of the Atlanta Hawks last season, is currently the -200 favorites to win the Southeast Division, with the Hawks chasing them at +195 odds. Meanwhile, the Boston Celtics are the -140 favorites to win the Atlantic Division with the Philadelphia 76ers currently listed at +280, the Brooklyn Nets at +500, and Toronto Raptors at +650.

The Phoenix Suns finished as Pacific Division champions for the second time last season. Phoenix was two games away from winning the 2021 NBA title before losing four straight games against the Bucks. This past season, Phoenix finished with the best regular season record in the NBA but they struggled in the playoffs, going 7-6 and losing in the second round to the Memphis Grizzlies.
Phoenix won the Pacific Division last season by 11 games against the Warriors and by 22 against the L.A. Clippers. However, with Golden State recently winning the NBA title and the Clippers expected to get Kawhi Leonard back, it’s going to be a tough road for the Suns. At +140, Phoenix is just slightly ahead of the Warriors at +200 and Clippers at +270. And oh, don’t sleep on the Lakers just yet. L.A. is a +650 to win the Pacific.
Denver is a -140 to win the Northwest but the Timberwolves at +200 could pose a threat with thae addition of Rudy Gobert. Meanwhile, the Memphis Grizzlies are favored in the Southwest at -105. Their closest rival in the division is the Dallas Mavericks who are listed at +120 while the New Orleans Pelicans who will get Zion back this season are at +450.
