Bettors Picking Packers to Go OVER Regular Season Win Total

Packers Positive Win Total

  • 60% of the early bets at BetMGM have been made on the Green Bay Packers going OVER their 10.5 win regular season total.
  • The Packers have won 13 games in each of the previous three seasons, the first team in the NFL to do so.
  • Green Bay has the 9th easiest schedule during the 2022 season with their opponents having a combined winning percentage of .478.

The San Francisco 49ers hold the NFL record for most 13+ win seasons with 10. The Green Bay Packers are next with 8.

The Packers, however, hold the record for the most consecutive 13+ wins seasons with three and are the only team to do so in the history of the NFL. Green Bay accomplished the feat during the previous three seasons, winning 13 games each since the 2019 campaign. This season, the oddsmakers are expecting another big season from them.

Bettor Betting OVER Packers Win Total

The Packers were given a win total of 10.5 games for the 2022 NFL season, joining the Dallas Cowboys, Denver Broncos, Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Rams, and Los Angeles Chargers with the second highest regular season win total. Only the Buffalo Bills and Tampa Bay Buccaneers were given a higher win total with 11.5

According to BetMGM’s John Ewing, 60% of the bets at their sportsbook are backing the Packers to go OVER their regular season win total of 10.5 at -160 odds. Green Bay has won at least 10 games 11 times in the previous 15 seasons and has won more than 10 games 8 times during that span. Of course, winning 13 games three seasons in a row is probably why bettors are favoring them to go OVER 10.5 wins this year.

Green Bay has opened as the betting favorite in 15 of their games and has an implied win total of 11.34. According to an article published by The Athletic last May, the Packers have the league’s 11th easiest schedule ( or 22nd hardest SOS ) with their 2022 opponents having a combined 2021 record of 137-150-2 or an aggregate winning percentage of .478.

Packers Expected to Execute a Four-Peat

But not only are the Packers gunning for a fourth consecutive 13-win season, but Green Bay is also looking to win the NFC North Division for the 4th consecutive campaign. According to the latest odds board at Bet365 USA, the Packers are a -180 favorite to win the division, with the Minnesota Vikings as their closest pursuer at +275 odds. Not much is expected from their other division rivals with the Detroit Lions listed at +800 and the Chicago Bears at +1100. Both the Lions and Bears were given a measly 6.5 win total but it’s interesting to note that the Lions’ OVER 6.5 is the most bet OVER at BetMGM while the Bears’ OVER 6.5 is the most bet UNDER at the same sportsbook.

Meanwhile, Green Bay has the second-best odds to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl as they are tied with the defending champions Los Angeles Rams at +500 odds to win the NFC Conference title. Only the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have better odds than them at +350. The Packers have been to the NFC title games three times in the last four seasons but have never advanced to the Super Bowl since 2010 when they last won the Lombardi Trophy.

Given their win total, division odds, and conference odds, it’s no surprise why the Packers are heavy -450 favorites to make the playoffs. Green Bay has missed the playoffs only twice since 2009 and only six times since the start of the century. However, given their history of heartbreaks, the Packers are listed at +1200 to win the Super Bowl with the Bills, Buccaneers, Chiefs, and Rams having better odds than them.
