Wilson was named last week’s Western Conference Player of the Week winner, marking the fourth time this season that she’s won the award. For the month of July, Wilson has per 75 averages of 28.3 points, 11 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 2.6 steals, and 2 blocks per game while shooting 54% from the field, 45.5% from three-point range, and 83.9% from the free throw line.
Prior to Sunday’s blowout win against the Indiana Fever where the Aces led from start to finish in an easy 25-point win, Wilson scored 20+ points in eight consecutive regular games, the longest such streak in Ace franchise history, besting the previous mark of 6-consecutive games set by her coach Becky Hammon. Wilson averaged 23.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 2.2 steals, and 1.5 blocks per game on 54% shooting during that 6-2 stretch for the Aces.
Wilson also had a monster game during the Commissioner’s Cup Championship, in which the Aces won 93-83 against the Chicago Sky. While it was Chelsea Gray who won MVP honors and Kelsey Plum who led the team with 24 points, Wilson dominated the game from both sides of the floor with 17 points, 17 rebounds, and six blocked shots. That performance was only the second 15 points, 15 rebounds, and 5 blocks performance in the WNBA this season. The other one? By A’ja Wilson too.

Next on the odds board at +200 is Seattle Storm forward Breanna Stewart who made four free throws in the final 12 seconds to seal the win for the Storm during their July 30 game against the Washington Mystics. The win clinched a 7th consecutive playoff appearance for Seattle which currently trails Las Vegas by 3.5 games for the top spot in the Western Conference.
Stewart is the WNBA scoring leader at 21.0 points per game while also averaging 7.1 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 1.7 steals per game this season. Just recently, Stewart and Tina Charles joined Lisa Leslie and Candace Parker (2008) as the only pair of teammates in WNBA history to put up 20 points, 10 rebounds, and 3 blocks in the same game.
Wilson’s Aces teammate and 2022 WNBA All-Star Game MVP Kelsey Plum is next in the MVP odds board but at a distant +1400. Meanwhile, New York Liberty superstar Sabrina Ionescu is fourth at +2000 odds. Ionescu became the 4th player in WNBA history to record at least 16 assists, doing so on Sunday. 2021 MVP winner Jonquel Jones and Skylar Diggins-Smith are both listed at +4000 while Elena Delle Donne completes the latest betting board at +8000 odds.
