Top MLB Player Prop Bet Odds & Picks for Sunday

Cleveland Guardians vs. Kansas City Royals

  • Whit Merrifield to record 2+ total bases (+100)

The Guardians will send Zach Plesac to the mound, who’s been pitching very well over the last month after struggling in May. Over his last six starts, he has a 2.26 ERA with opposing hitters batting .216 against him. Unfortunately, a lack of run support has him coming up empty, and he only has a 1-2 record during that time.

The Guardians’ offense broke out yesterday with 13 runs after struggling for a while. The Royals have been much better at the plate and have recently found some power. This game could go either way, but expecting a high-scoring game is the safe bet.

Pittsburgh Pirates vs. Milwaukee Brewers

  • Jose Quintana over 5.5 strikeouts (+116)
  • Andrew McCutchen to record a hit (-190)

After stints with three teams, Jose Quintana has found himself in Pittsburgh and has become a reliable starter. He’s been the Pirates’ best part of the rotation and is coming in with a 2.82 ERA in his last four starts, which includes a win over the Yankees. Quintana has begun to mix his pitches more, and his ability to change speeds and move up and down the zone keeps hitters off-balance.

New York Yankees vs. Boston Red Sox

  • Jameson Tallion under 4.5 strikeouts (-106)
  • Kevin Pawecki to record a hit  (-170)
  • Giancarlo Stanton to record 2+ total bases (+115)

Jameson Taillon will try to grab his tenth win of the season and a series win for New York. He’s personally hit a rough patch with a 6.16 ERA in his last six starts, but thankfully the Yankees have given him plenty of run support, as the team is 5-1 in those games. He’s one of those guys who likes to get ahead in the count with his fastball, then does well keeping his breaking pitches down to induce ground balls.

Nick Pivetta will be coming off his worst start of the year, allowing seven earned in 5.2 innings against the Rays. Maybe it was a one-off because he’s been very reliable by allowing two or fewer earned runs in six of his seven previous starts, and Boston was 6-1 in those appearances.

We can expect a lot of runs to be scored tonight given these offenses.
